1. What would a message from God Be like?

• It would be accurate
• It would be a single unit of truth
• It would be acceptable for truth and knowledge
• It would be sufficient for its intentions
• It would stay preserved
• It would deal with profound themes
• It would set forth views beyond human imagination
• It would be certain of its inspiration
• It would have high values
• It would meet human needs
• It wouldn’t be anonymous
• It wouldn’t be beyond proof
• It wouldn’t waste words

How have these things been shown when it comes to the Bible?

ex. - Is the Bible accurate? Does it teach one truth? Is it acceptable when it comes to truth and knowledge? Is it sufficient? Is the word Preserved?

2. What would it take to convince you of the inspiration of a book?

To PROVE the book was directly from God?

• Not just a “good” book

1. Or enlightening
2. Or moving
3. Or well written
4. Or proper grammar

It would have to be something humans are not capable of producing

-A message that has divine proof

(something that surpasses human intelligence)

3. Where could a book come from if it has qualities that are supernatural?

4. What is the meaning of inspiration?

2 Timothy 3:16-17 “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

Process vs. Product

Fallible humans but an Infallible book

God intervened in the process and therefore imperfect humans compiled and wrote a perfect book.
