Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year. The cold weather, the family fun, the giving....its just a good time! At Riverchase, this is most definitely a great time. This coming Wednesday night we will meet for a home-cooked meal (gotta love our parents!) and then head out to buy gifts for other kids who are less fortunate. There are 10 kids in the foster care system who wouldnt necessarily get anything for Christmas and our teens want to change that. So we get together, head out to shop, and have a great time serving our fellow man. 

The neatest thing about this event is that it actually has nothing to do with the gifts. It has everything to do with serving our fellow man. Our teens just love to give! They love to serve. This is the reason why this time of the year is so much fun! 

I love that we get to do this. However, we need your help to do so. We take up donations each and every year to help fund this project. We know that the economy is where it is and that not everyone has a few extra dollars to spare but we are asking for everyone to just take a minute and see what you can do without. 

That extra coke. That double-foam extra chai latte. That snack at work from the vending machine. Whatever it is, we would love for you to be a part of giving back to these kids, our community, and allowing the Riverchase Teens to serve. Thanks....and its going to be a great year!
